ST. LOUIS, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Energizer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ENR), today announced that R. David Hoover, John C. Hunter, John E. Klein, and John R. Roberts were elected to the Board of Directors at its 2007 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
Energizer also announced that the Board of Directors, at a meeting held prior to the Annual Meeting of Shareholders, unanimously approved the appointment of Mr. Bill Stiritz as Chairman Emeritus and Mr. Pat Mulcahy, formerly Vice Chairman of the Board, as the new Chairman of the Board of Energizer Holdings, Inc. As part of this Board leadership restructuring, Mr. Stiritz will remain on the Board and assume the chairperson role on the Board's Finance and Oversight Committee.
Mr. Stiritz has served as Chairman of the Board since the Company's spin- off in 2000, and Mr. Mulcahy was Chief Executive Officer from the spin-off until January of 2005. Since that time he has served as Vice Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the Board's Finance and Oversight Committee.
