ST. LOUIS, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Energizer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ENR), today announced that Joseph Lynch will retire as President of Schick-Wilkinson Sword on March 31, 2007. Upon Mr. Lynch's retirement, the Board of Directors has selected David Hatfield, Energizer's Chief Marketing Officer, to succeed Mr. Lynch as President of Schick-Wilkinson Sword. Mr. Hatfield will report directly to Ward M. Klein, Chief Executive Officer.

"Joe was instrumental in the successful integration of the Schick business and was the guiding force behind Schick's recent launches, in particular our new products within the Intuition and Quattro brands," said Ward M. Klein. "He has been a great asset to us, and we wish him the best.

In commenting on David Hatfield's promotion to President, Schick-Wilkinson Sword, Mr. Klein said, "I am very happy that David has agreed to succeed Joe at Schick. David was very much involved in the acquisition of the Schick- Wilkinson Sword business and is very familiar with the Schick business and with the marketing issues in the wet-shave industry. We think he will do an excellent job."

Mr. Hatfield joined the Company in 1988 after having obtained a B.A. in Economics from Princeton in 1982, and an MBA from Stanford in 1986. Throughout his tenure with the Energizer, he has served in a number of capacities throughout the Battery organization, both domestically and abroad. Since March 2004, Mr. Hatfield has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer - Energizer Battery. In that position, his responsibilities included global marketing, research and development for Energizer's batteries and lighting products, operating oversight for the company's lighting products and miniatures businesses, and merger and acquisition activities for the company as a whole.
